Hi, I'm Lena
I’m from a small town called Tilbury in Southern Ontario, Canada, and I’ve always been drawn to fashion, design, pop culture, photography, and branding. Growing up in a rural community meant I didn’t have much exposure to creative industries. Most people pursued traditional paths like trades or healthcare, which are meaningful careers but not the direction I felt called to. I grew up on a farm, and even though I didn’t choose to make it my career, working with our animals and in the fields taught me the value of hard work and gave me a strong work ethic that I carry into everything I do.
Digital marketing showed me a path where I could combine creativity with strategy and bring together my interests in photography, design, and storytelling. I’m especially interested in how fashion, environment, and other creative elements can communicate with an audience on their own, without relying on text or direct explanation.
I recently graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Media, Information, and Technoculture, as well as a Certificate in Digital Communication. Since 2023, I’ve worked in content creation and social media marketing for a range of brands, most recently @WeAreBacklot in Manhattan, New York. When my contract ends in December, I plan to return to Canada and continue growing my career in the marketing field.
