About me

Hi! I’m Lena, a 21-year-old from Tilbury, Ontario. I love all things fashion, music, photography, and design.
Growing up on a farm in a small rural town, I developed a strong work ethic early on. Caring for our many animals taught me that responsibility isn’t a choice; it’s something you show up for every single day.
In my hometown, most people worked in trades, healthcare, or office jobs, but I never really felt drawn to those paths. I always knew I wanted to do something that involved creativity, but I had very little exposure to what that could actually look like as a career. Once I learned more about the marketing industry, it felt like the perfect way to blend creativity with strategy while also tying in my interests in photography, styling, and design.
I’m currently in my fourth year of the Honours Specialization program in Media and Communication Studies (MACS) at the University of Western Ontario, and I’m also pursuing a Certificate in Digital Communication. I’ve always had a passion for writing and am currently working on launching my own blog as a creative, safe space where I can share my interests in fashion and cosmetics.
I have experience doing content creation and social media marketing for companies, including Visit Chatham-Kent and Goodwill OGL. In my free time, I create content for my family’s business, using my skills to showcase products and capture what we do. It’s a great way to express my creativity while helping the business grow!
As I approach my graduation in June 2025, I’m excited to see where my journey in media and communication will take me and am anxious to start my career!
